The Tropical Rainforest of Braulio Carrillo is amazing, the characteristic is its importance within the planet; it holds two thirds of all the world’s flora and fauna. In Costa Rica, this biome presents an overwhelming abundance of springs and rivers of clear, crystalline waters, plus a great quantity of insects and microorganisms just waiting to be discovered. All this vegetation takes over the cleaning of the air we breathe. The weather can range from Hot summers that will leave your skin feeling as if its sweating off due to the high amount of humidity that recovers from rainforest temperatures to the lower kind of hot breeze throughout may with more of a cool effect but not far from hot temps just belows the average 70 degrees fahrenheit. 

The average temperature in tropical rainforests ranges from 70 to 85°F (21 to 30°C). The environment is pretty wet in tropical rainforests, maintaining a high humidity of 77% to 88% year-round. The yearly rainfall ranges from 80 to 400 inches (200 to 1000 cm), and it can rain hard. When it does rain, just know an umbrella will not cover you the way it’s supposed to. In rainforest the rain is enmourse amounts and comes down like a bucket of water being poured every minute, the rain fertilizes and helps out a lot but also can overfill other spot full of water to a max amount.  

If you are into hot and muggy weather during the summers you need to be here and The climate/Weather found in this amazing forest varies depending on the month it is, some are hotter than others. It typically rains about 157 to 315 inches of rainfall annually. Temperatures vary widely with elevation from average temperatures of around 79 °F on the lower east slopes to below freezing nights on the peaks and ridges. Driest all year round but afternoon showers are the norm May through November. This makes it a happy place for all of the animals who live here !

As Braulio Carrillo is so large and varies in elevation so significantly, the weather also varies considerably.  In the lower areas, daytime temperatures are often in the mid-80s and nighttime temps in the 70s.  In higher elevations, daytime temperatures are often in the mid-60s and overnight temperatures can be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.  Some parts of the park receive up to 6,000 mm or 236 inches of precipitation annually, so be prepared for rain.  The driest months are typically January through April and July.
