The Rainforest Aerial Tram takes you on a two level tour of the rainforest. The ascent is a few metres up, through the under canopy, and the descent is through the treetops, up to 50 metres off the ground, allowing visitors to contrast flora and fauna at different elevations. From an excellent vantage point you can look down into the forest below where over 340 species of bird have been recorded, along with howler, and white-faced monkeys, jaguar, puma, ocelot, tapir and paca.

The Park contains many notable geological features, such as the Barva volcano, and several dormant volcanoes including Cerro Chompipe, Cerro Cacho Negro, and Cerros Las Tres Marias. The Barva sector has three crater lakes – Barva, Danta and mine. 

The Park also protects areas of the Sarapiqui river watershed, including large amounts of primary cloud forests, flora and fauna that makes it their home. Other in Park river will be a great economy option, the river of Patria, and mineral-colored river Sucio.

The altitude range within the park is wide – from 50 metres above sea level at the park’s lowest point, to up to 2,906 metres at its highest point, the summit of Volcán Barva, resulting in a wide diversity of vegetation.The park contains many notable geological features, such as the Barva Volcano; and several dormant volcanoes including Cerro Chompipe, Cerro Cacho Negro, and Cerros las Tres Marias. The park also protects areas of the Sarapiquí River watershed, including large amounts of primary cloud and rainforest, and the flora and fauna that makes it their home. Others in the park include the Hondura River, Patria River, and the mineral-colored Súcio River. The environment of this truly outstanding National park will have you stuck and not wanting to leave because of the nice warm weathers mixed with luxurious green plants surrounding every spot on the dirt. The air is pure of oxygen and cleanse with a sligh add of animals poop but besides that everything you want is there.
